Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up

The goal of Old Growth Northwest’s Gay Romance Northwest initiative is to give writers and readers all over the region a chance to gather, meet, and discuss the rising genre of LGBTQ romance fiction. Now in its third year, this initiative includes free public reading events, local reader meetings, and the annual conference Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up. Our upcoming GRNW will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at the Seattle Central Public Library.

Registration for the third annual Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up is now available online.

GRNW 2015 will feature a full day of conference activities that focus on LGBTQ romance fiction, including panel discussions, pitch sessions, writing workshops, a reader meet-up, and a post-conference book fest and after party for book signings, mingling, and author readings. Check out the GRNW Blog for more information.

200 attendees joined us on September 20, 2014 at the Seattle Public Library for the second annual Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up, the only conference in the Pacific Northwest that celebrates the rising genre of LGBTQ romance fiction.

Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up 2014 consisted of a full day of activities, including an afternoon conference with panel discussions and Q&As, writing workshops, pitch sessions with attending publishers, and a reader meet-up in the morning, a post-conference book fest with author signings and bookselling, and a fun after party following all the festivities featuring more short readings and time to mingle with attendees.

There was also a public author reading event at the University Book Store and reader meet-ups planned for the evening of September 19, 2014, the night before the conference. For more info check out the GRNW Blog.
