Anne Bean lives in Seattle, Washington where she obsesses over comics, fairy tales, and book design. Her writing has appeared in Urban Fantasy Magazine, Animal Literary Journal, The Establishment, and Tell Me A Fable from Dark Opus Press. She’s made fairy tale comics with exciting artists including Ben Horak, Laura Graves, Noel Franklin, and Ted Closson. She’s currently at work on a novel-length retelling of a Romanian fairy tale. Allison Cloud is a graduate of the University of Washington in Creative Writing with Russian literature and History minors. When not binge watching every BBC show ever made, she usually can be found wandering around Ballard, browsing bookstores, or playing with her neurotic and adorable yellow lab, Boomer.
Erin Fried is the Executive Director of Old Growth Northwest where she directs the Writer’s Workshops and Voices Beyond Bars programs. In both, she teaches creative writing and restorative justice as well as other courses. In addition to her work at Old Growth, Erin directs the Seattle branch of the Young Writers’ Academy, a creative writing enrichment program for children. Erin holds a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, an MA in International Affairs from the Fletcher School, and an MA in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
Benjamin Schmitt is the Pushcart-nominated author of two books, Dinner Table Refuge (PunksWritePoemsPress, 2015) and The global conspiracy to get you in bed (Kelsay Books, 2013). His poetry has appeared in Sakura Review, Hobart, Grist, Wisconsin Review, Two Thirds North, and elsewhere. He lives with his wife and daughter in Seattle where he also reviews books, curates a reading series, and teaches workshops to people of all ages.
